Series A
1. Set the throttle valve to the fully closed position.
2. Install the sensor to the position shown in the figure (90° counterclockwise from the original position), insert it into the throttle body, then turn it clockwise and temporarily tighten the mounting screws.

3 Adjust the throttle position sensor.
a) (4A-FE with automatic transmission) Apply vacuum to the throttle damper,
b) Loosen the two sensor mounting screws,
c) Insert a 0.4mm thick flat feeler gauge between the throttle adjusting screw and the stop lever.
d) Connect the ohmmeter to the "IDL" and "E2" terminals of the sensor.
d) Gradually turn the sensor clockwise until the ohmmeter changes its readings and fix it in this position with two screws,
d) Check the conductivity between the terminals "IDL" and "E2".
3S-FE, 4S-FE
4S-FE with manual transmission
a) Install the throttle position sensor by aligning the throttle shaft and the sensor hole.
Do not allow the sensor to rotate around the axis during installation and do not remove the sensor housing.

b) Insert a 0.40mm thick flat feeler gauge between the throttle stop adjusting screw and the lever. Check for continuity between the "IDL" and "TL" terminals.
c) If necessary, adjust the throttle position sensor. Loosen the two screws securing the sensor housing, then smoothly turn the sensor housing clockwise until you find its position when the ohmmeter changes its readings. Secure the sensor housing in this position with two screws.

Except 4S-FE with manual transmission
1. Set the throttle valve to the fully closed position.
2. Install the sensor to the position shown in the figure (90° counterclockwise from the original position), insert it into the throttle body, then turn it clockwise and temporarily tighten the mounting screws.

3. Adjust the throttle position sensor.
b) Loosen the two sensor mounting screws.
c) Insert a 0.4mm thick flat feeler gauge between the throttle adjusting screw and the stop lever.
d) Connect the ohmmeter to the "IDL" and "E2" terminals of the sensor.
d) Gradually turn the sensor clockwise until the ohmmeter changes its readings, and fix it in this position with two screws.
d) Check the conductivity between the terminals "IDL" and "E2".
