2. Loosen the locknut.
A) Remove cotter pin and locknut cap.
b) Loosen the locknut with the brake pedal depressed.
3. (Models with ABS)
Remove the speed sensor.
4. Remove the drive shaft.
A) Mark the differential output shaft and drive shaft.
b) Remove the four nuts and disconnect the drive shaft from the differential output shaft.
V) Using a hammer and copper rod, knock the drive shaft out of the hub.
G) Remove the drive shaft.
Note: When removing the shaft, be careful not to damage the rotor teeth of the speed sensor on the drive shaft.
5. The hub bearing can be damaged if the weight of the vehicle acts on it, such as when the vehicle is moved with the drive shaft removed.
Therefore, if it is necessary to move the vehicle with the drive shaft removed, first fix the hub bearing as shown in the figure.
