Vehicle check
1. Check for clogging and damage to the condenser plates.
A) If the condenser is clogged, it should be flushed with water and dried with compressed air.
Attention: do not damage the capacitor plates.
b) If the capacitor plates are deformed, they should be straightened with a screwdriver or pliers.
2. Check the tightness of the condenser connections. If any faults are found, carry out the necessary repairs.
Removing
1. Remove the refrigerant from the system.
2. Remove the grille and the hood latch.
3. Remove the upper radiator support.
4. Disconnect the blower tube from the condenser inlet fitting.
5. Disconnect the two fluid tubes from the receiver.
Note: Plug the open ends of the tubes immediately.
6. Remove the receiver.
7. Having unscrewed four bolts, remove the condenser.
Installation
1. Install the capacitor.
Tighten the four bolts, making sure the rubber pads are installed correctly.
2. Install the receiver.
3. Connect the two liquid tubes to the receiver and the discharge tube to the condenser.
Torque
- Liquid pipes - 13 N.m
- Injection tube - 22 N.m
4. Install the upper radiator support.
5. Install the grille and hood latch.
6. If the condenser has been replaced, add 40 to 50 ml of compressor oil to the compressor.
7. Vacuum, prime and check the system for leaks.
