Note: There are two ways (A and B) replacement of seals.
1. Replace the crankshaft front oil seal.
A. If the oil pump is removed from the cylinder block:
A) Using a screwdriver and hammer, lightly pry the seal out.
b) Using a pipe of suitable diameter and a hammer, lightly tap the new oil seal to a depth of 0.5 mm from the edge of the oil pump housing.
V) Apply grease to the seal.
B. If the oil pump is on the cylinder block.
A) Using a knife, cut off the lip of the seal.
b) Using a screwdriver as a lever, remove the oil seal.
Caution: Be careful not to damage the crankshaft. Wrap the tip of the screwdriver with tape.
V) Apply grease to the lip of the new oil seal.
G) Using a pipe of suitable diameter and a hammer, lightly tap the oil seal to a depth of 0.5 mm from the edge of the oil pump housing.
2. Replace the crankshaft rear oil seal.
A. If the oil seal holder is removed from the cylinder block:
A) Using a screwdriver and hammer, lightly pry the seal out
b) Using the correct diameter pipe and winder, lightly tap the new oil seal, moving it until its surface is covered by the lip of the rear oil seal retainer.
V) Apply grease to the seal.
B. If the rear oil seal holder is installed on the cylinder block:
A) Using a knife, cut off the lip of the seal.
b) Using a screwdriver as a lever, remove the oil seal.
