Note: Bore all four cylinders to match the outside diameter of the oversized pistons. Replace piston rings with ones that will fit oversized pistons.
Piston diameter of the 1st repair size (+0.50 mm):
- Engines 2L, 2L-T - 92.44 - 92.47 mm
- Engines 3L, KZ-T - 96.44 - 96.47 mm
Piston diameter 2nd repair size (+0.75 mm):
- Engine 1KZ-T - 96.69 - 96.72 mm
Piston diameter 3rd repair size (+1.0 mm).
- Engine 1KZ-T - 96.94 - 96.97 mm
1. Calculate the cylinder bore.
A) Using a micrometer, measure the piston diameter at a right angle to the axis of the pin at a distance of 58 mm for 2L, 2L-T, 1KZ-T engines and 56 mm for 3L engines from the piston crown.
b) Calculate the size to which each cylinder needs to be bored using the following formula:
Size for boring = P + C-H,
where P is the piston diameter,
C - the gap between the piston and the cylinder is 0.05-0.07 mm.
H - honing allowance of 0.02 mm or less.
2. Rebore and honing the cylinders to design dimensions.
Maximum honing level: 0.02mm
Attention: Excessive honing leads to cylindricity.
