Vacuum brake booster assembly. 1 - holder, 2 - brake master cylinder, 3 - gasket, 4 - vacuum hose, 5 - brake booster, 6 - fork pin, 7 - return spring, 8 - gasket, 9 - cotter pin.
Removing
1. Remove the main brake cylinder.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster.
3. Remove the spring and remove the cotter pin. Loosen the locknut. Remove the fork pin and disconnect the brake pedal from the fork.
4. Turn away nuts and remove the amplifier of brakes together with a lining.
Checking the function of the non-return valve
1. Remove check valve.
2. Check that air flows through the valve from the booster to the hose.
3. Check that air is not flowing through the valve from the hose towards the amplifier.
4. If necessary, replace the check valve.
Installation
1. Install the brake booster and tighten the fastening nuts.
Tightening torque - 13 N.m
2. Pass the fork pin through the brake pedal. Secure the pin with a cotter pin.
3. Connect a vacuum hose to the amplifier of brakes.
4. Adjustment of length of a pusher of the amplifier.
A) Install the gasket on the brake master cylinder.
b) Position the special tool on the brake master cylinder and lower the rod until it contacts the piston.
V) Turn the tool upside down and place it on top of the booster.
G) Measure the gap between the push rod of the booster and the head of the rod of the special tool.
Gap - 0 mm
d) When depressing the brake pedal, adjust the length of the push rod of the booster so that the push rod easily touches the head of the rod after the pedal is released.
e) Measure the gap again.
5. Establish the main brake cylinder.
6. Fill the reservoir with brake fluid and bleed the brake system.
7. Check the brake system for leaks.
8. Check and adjust the position and travel of the brake pedal.
9. Perform a performance check on the amplifier.
