To remove the injector:
- Remove both nuts securing the injection pipes to the intake manifold. Unscrew both union nuts of each injection tube using a slotted spanner. Such a wrench can be put on the nut if there is a tube. Otherwise, use a regular key. Unscrew the fastening clamps and remove the tubes.
- Disconnect the fuel hose from the oil drain pipe, unscrew the four nuts and remove the oil drain pipe (return tube) and washers.
- Unscrew the injectors using an extended wrench. TOYOTA service stations use a special tool for this. Do not damage the injectors. Place the injectors in the order they were removed if they are to be reinstalled.
- Installation of injectors is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following points:
- Be sure to replace the sealing ring. The injector tightening torque is 65 Nm. Do not exceed this tightening torque, as this may cause the injectors to bend or the injector needles to jam.
- Place 4 washers on the injectors and connect the return pipe. Screw in 4 nuts and tighten to 30 Nm. Connect the hose to the return pipe.
- Install injection pipes. First, loosely fasten both clamps to the intake manifold and screw in the union nuts of all pipes. Tighten the union nuts. The tightening torque is 30 Nm, do not overtighten the nuts. After this, secure the tubes with both clamps and nuts.
- Turn the engine crankshaft with the starter and gradually loosen the union nuts on the injector side. At the same time, air is released. Tighten the union nuts again to 30 Nm.
- The rest of the work is done in reverse order.
