Pic. 111. Fastening the oil receiver grid in the lower part of the cylinder block on a 2.0 liter engine. The 1.6L engine has two side mounts.
When installing the oil pan, pay attention to the following:
- Install the oil receiver mesh and oil deflector screen (engine 3S-I FE), if they were filmed. The oil receiver mesh gasket must be replaced. Tighten the bolts to a tightening torque of 10 Nm (1.6 l engine) or 5.5 Nm (2.0 l engine). Secure the oil deflector screen with two bolts.
- There are no gaskets on both engines. Instead of gaskets, sealant, No. 08826-0080, is used, which covers the oil pan in accordance with Figure 112. In this case, you should pay attention to the thickness of the applied layer of compound, and that it is not applied close to the holes. The sealant is supplied in a tube, which must be cut to the appropriate width. After use, close the tube. The oil pan must be installed within 15 minutes. Otherwise, the sealant must be removed and reapplied. Tighten the two nuts and all bolts to a torque of 5 Nm.
Pic. 112. Applying a special sealant when installing the oil pan. Width "a" And "b" should be 5 mm. Do not fill holes.
- After tightening the bolts, screw in and tighten the drain plug.
- Fill the engine with oil. If there is no accurate measuring vessel, you can fill the oil to the level at the mark "L" on the oil dipstick. After this, start the engine and add another liter of oil until the oil level rises to the mark "F".
- After replacing the oil pan seal, you should do a test drive. After warming up the engine while driving, raise the car again and check all sealed connections.
