2. Disconnect the negative plug from the storage battery.
3. Preliminary operations. (A series engines)
A) Remove the right side of the engine protection.
b) Remove the air conditioning compressor.
Remove the A/C compressor belt
Disconnect the compressor magnetic clutch connector.
Turn away 4 bolts and remove the conditioner compressor.
V) Remove the alternator drive belt and remove the alternator mounting bolt.
G) Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector.
d) Remove the oil pressure switch and install a pressure gauge in its place.
e) Tighten the alternator bolt.
(S-series engines)
A) Remove the oil pressure switch and install a pressure gauge in its place.
(Engine 2C (2WD model))
A) Disconnect the bracket No. 1 of the exhaust pipe of the exhaust system.
b) Remove the oil pressure switch and install a pressure gauge in its place.
(Engine 2C (4WD model))
A) Remove the air filter cover with air duct.
b) Remove the oil pressure switch and install a pressure gauge in its place.
4. Warm up the engine to operating temperature.
5. Check oil pressure.
Oil pressure:
4A-FE, 5A-FE
- idle speed - 0.5 kg / cm2
- 5000 rpm - 3.0 kg/cm2
3S-FE, 4S-FE
- idle speed - 0.3 kg / cm2
- 5000 rpm - 2.5 kg / cm2
2C
- idle speed - 0.8 kg / cm2
- 4500 rpm - 2.5-6.0 kg / cm2
6. Remove the pressure gauge and install the oil pressure switch.
A) Remove pressure gauge (by removing the components as shown above).
b) Apply adhesive sealant to two or three threads of the oil pressure sensor.
V) Install an emergency oil pressure switch.
V) Install the oil pressure sensor.
- Tightening torque - 15 Nm
7. Final operations.
A series engines
A) Install the alternator mounting bolt.
Torque:
- bolt - 19 Nm
- coupling bolt - 60 Nm
b) Install the air conditioning compressor.
- Tightening torque - 25 Nm
V) Install the right side of the protection! engine.
(Engine 2C (2WD model))
A) Connect bracket No. 1 of the downpipe of the exhaust system.
(Engine 2C (4WD models))
A) Install the air filter cover with air duct
8. Connect the negative battery terminal.
