1. After performing any procedures related to disconnecting the lines of the power steering system, it is necessary to remove air from the power steering hydraulic path. Otherwise, the performance of the power steering will be significantly reduced.
2. Turn the front wheels of the car to a straight line and check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir (see chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance). Make appropriate adjustments if necessary (the liquid level must reach the lower COLD mark on the tank wall).
3. Start the engine and leave it running at 1000 rpm. Check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir again. Re-adjust if necessary.
4. Turning the steering wheel from side to side (no hits at the end of the turn) remove air from the system (make sure that the liquid level in the tank during pumping does not fall below the permissible limit).
5. When you have finished bleeding, return the wheels to a straight line, let the engine run for a few more minutes, then shut it off.
6. Carry out road tests of the car, checking the serviceability and noiselessness of the steering system.
7. Recheck the hydraulic fluid level with the engine warmed up to normal operating temperature (this time it should reach the HOT mark on the tank wall). Make the necessary adjustments if necessary (see chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance).
