The bushings on the rear end of the wishbone are replaced. To do this, place the wishbone in a vice and unscrew the bolt on the end of the support. Remove the washer and bushing from the support pin. Pay attention to the installation position of the bushing. Put on a new bushing in the same position, place the washer on it and tighten the bolt with a tightening torque of 137 Nm. Check the integrity of the wishbone. If in doubt (for example, after an accident) the wishbone must be checked at a TOYOTA service station. The suspension ball joints are not disassembled. The ball joints must not have axial play. To check the ball joint, swing the joint rod in different directions 5-6 times. Screw on the nut and continuously turn the nut with a torque wrench. One turn should be made in 2-4 seconds. On the fifth turn, read the tightening torque. If it exceeds 10-30 kg.cm, the joint should be replaced. If necessary, use a puller to remove the ball joint from the steering knuckle after unscrewing the nut.
