Diesel engine with a working volume of 1.8 l
Removal

Disconnect the hose (arrow) from the cylinder head.
Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the intake manifold together with the air filter housing.

Open the heater hose clamp and unscrew the pipeline mounting bolt. Remove the hose and pipeline from the connecting nipple.
Remove the fuel injection system lines and fuel return line.
Remove the timing belt.

Unscrew the cylinder head mounting bolts in three steps in order from 1 to 18. In the first step, 1/2 turn, in the second step, a full turn, in the third step, completely unscrew.
Caution: Loosening the bolts in random order may result in deformations and cracks in the cylinder head.
Installation
Check the cylinder head for deformations. The maximum flatness should not exceed 0.2 mm. If the flatness exceeds the specified value, the cylinder head must be replaced.

Screw in 18 cylinder head mounting bolts by hand until they stop. Then tighten the bolts in three stages, observing the tightening sequence shown in the figure.
- 1 step - with a torque wrench with a force of 30 Nm
- 2nd step - with a torque wrench with a force of 60 Nm
- step 3 - with a torque wrench with a force of 84 Nm
Install the timing belt.
Install the fuel return hose in place and injection system pipeline.
Place the heater hose on the fitting and secure with a bolt. Secure the hose clamp.
