Warning! Remember that the dust produced during the operation of the brake mechanisms may contain asbestos, which is extremely harmful to human health. Never blow off dust with compressed air or inhale it; when servicing mechanisms, wear a protective mask or respirator. Do not use gasoline or petroleum-based solvents to clean brake system components, use only branded cleaners or methyl alcohol!
Front suspension hub
1. Apply the parking brake. Loosen the nuts on the appropriate front wheel, jack up the front of the vehicle and place it on jack stands. Remove the wheel.
2. Disconnect from a rotary fist a basic arm of a brake hose and other communication lines provided by a complete set (refer to illustration above). On ABS equipped models, remove the wheel sensor from the knuckle assembly (see chapter Brake system).
3. Remove the brake disc hub assembly (see chapter transmission line).
5. Remove the brake disc splash guard (see chapter Brake system).
6. Remove the oil seal, gasket and boot (refer to illustration above).
7. Disconnect the tie rod end from the steering knuckle (see Section Check of a condition, removal and installation of drafts of a steering drive).
8. Jack up the lower suspension arm and disconnect it from the steering knuckle.
9. Remove cotter pin and give a nut.
10. Disconnect a rotary fist from the top lever.
11. Remove the steering knuckle from the lower arm.
12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure all fasteners are tightened to the correct torque.
