Front suspension hub
1. Loosen the wheel nuts, jack up the vehicle and place it on jack stands. Remove the corresponding front wheel.
2. Empty the differential (see chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance).
3. Remove the brake caliper (see chapter Brake system).
4. Remove hub (see Section Removal and installation of hubs with switchable drive), then remove the circlip and remove the spacer (refer to illustration above).
5. By tapping through the brass drift, loosen the fit of the shaft in the steering knuckle assembly.
6. Disconnect the lower suspension arm from the steering knuckle (see chapter Suspension and steering).
7. Pull the knuckle assembly outward and release the internal driveshaft trunnion from the differential assembly - if necessary tap the shaft with a soft-faced hammer to loosen its fit in the side gear.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Track reliability of a tightening of a nave nut.
