Attention! The manufacturer recommends adjusting the valves only if there is excessive noise from the valve train.
1. Warm up the engine.
2. Remove the cylinder head cover and set the piston of the 1st cylinder to TDC of the compression stroke (see subsection 3.1.3). Cylinder valves should swing freely.
3. Measure the gaps in the valves indicated in the illustration with a feeler gauge. The feeler gauge should pass between the rocker arm and valve stem with little force.
4. If the gap differs from the norm, then unscrew the lock nut and, turning the screw with a screwdriver, set the desired gap.
5. While holding the screw with a screwdriver, tighten the locknut and check the gap again.
6. Make marks on the crankshaft pulley and on the front cover. Turn the crankshaft 1 turn until the marks match, measure and, if necessary, adjust the clearances in the valves shown in the illustration.
7. Install all removed parts.
