Examination
1. When performing any work under the vehicle, always check the condition of the fuel lines, all joints and connections.
2. Check for cracks, kinks, deformations on hoses and tubes.
3. Make sure that the fuel lines are securely fastened to the bottom of the body, check the condition of the mounting brackets.
4. Check the tightness of the hose connections with metal tube fittings, the condition of the hose clamps.
Replacement
1. New fuel line parts must be made of the same material as the replacement parts.
2. It is forbidden to install hoses and pipes made of materials that do not meet the recommended ones or are not designed for fuel exposure.
3. Before disassembling the fuel line, or disconnecting any part, always mark the relative position of the pipes and hoses, remember the initial installation of the clamps and cotter pins, so that when assembling, the original location of these parts is exactly restored.
4. Follow the scheme and order of fastening hoses (2) on fittings of metal pipes (1) (3 - collar).
5. Before disassembling the fuel line, perform measures to decompress the fuel system line, unscrew the tank filler cap and disconnect the battery from the ground.
6. Wrap a rag around the joint to be disassembled to absorb spilled gasoline.
