Power steering pump (for vehicles with 6-cylinder engine)
1. Right protective panel of the front fender; 2. Fitting bolt; 3. Gasket; 4. Pressure tube; 5. Belt; 6. Power steering vane pump; 7. Fluid return hose
Removing
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Remove fluid from the power steering reservoir by sucking with a blower or syringe.
3. Raise the front of the car and remove the right front wheel.
4. Remove the protective panel of the front fender.
5. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the hose from the power steering pump.
6. Unscrew the fitting bolt and disconnect the tube from the hydraulic booster; the copper seals of the fitting must be replaced after disassembling this connection.
7. Loosen the pump pivot bolt and the belt tensioner bolt, remove the drive belt.
8. Remove the axle bolt and belt tensioner bolt. Remove the pump.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Adjust belt tension.
2. Fill reservoir with fluid and bleed air.
