1 - throttle position sensor,
2 - exhaust gas recirculation valve,
3 - absolute pressure sensor,
4 - electronic control unit of the toxicity reduction system,
5 - coolant temperature sensor,
6 - electro-pneumatic valve of the exhaust gas recirculation system (EVRV).

1. Connect the pressure gauge as shown in the figure.

Note: connect the pressure gauge with the engine not running.

2. Checking the work.

When the coolant temperature is below 60°C.

a) Start the engine and make sure that the vacuum is maintained at less than 50 mm Hg and is independent of the engine speed.

When the coolant temperature is above 75°C.
  • a) (Models with manual transmission) With the engine idling, make sure the vacuum is below 50 mmHg.
  • b) (Models with manual transmission) Bring the engine up to 1500 rpm and make sure that the vacuum increases.
  • v) (Models with automatic transmission) With the engine idling, make sure that the vacuum increases.

Note: after starting the engine, you must move the automatic transmission selector lever to the "D" or "R" range for more than half a second, and then to "N" or "P".

  • d) Press the accelerator pedal sharply and when the engine speed reaches 3000 rpm, make sure that the vacuum immediately drops below 50 mm Hg.
  • d) Maintain the engine speed above 4800 rpm and ensure that the vacuum is less than 50 mmHg.
