Removing
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the high voltage wires from the distributor cap.
3. Disconnect the distributor connector.
4. Having unscrewed two clamping bolts, remove (pull out) distributor, then separate the O-ring seal from the distributor body.
Installation
1. Set the piston of the first cylinder to the TDC of the end of the compression stroke (see section "timing belt" chapter for the respective engine).
2. Install the distributor.
A) Install a new O-ring under the distributor housing and apply a thin layer of fresh engine oil to it.
b) Align the groove on the coupling with the protrusion on the distributor body.
V) Insert the distributor by centering its mounting flange with the mounting hole in the cylinder head and aligning the holes in the distributor flange with the holes for the mounting bolts in the cylinder head.
G) Lightly tighten the two hold-down bolts.
d) Clip holder (clamp) high voltage wires with a bolt.
3. Connect the high voltage wires to the spark plugs according to the engine running order: 1-3-4-2.
4. Connect the distributor connector.
5. Connect a wire to the negative plug to the storage battery.
6. Adjust ignition timing (see subsection "Ignition timing adjustment" In chapter "Maintenance").
8. After adjusting the ignition timing, finally tighten the clamping bolts of the distributor housing.
- Tightening torque - 20 Nm
