4A-FE, 5A-FE, 7A-FE
1. Remove cover with gasket by unscrewing 3 bolts.
2. Remove the ignition distributor rotor.
3. Remove the dust deflector of the ignition coil along with the gasket.
4. Remove the ignition coil.
A) Disconnect three or four (depending on execution) wires from the ignition coil terminals by unscrewing 2 nuts.
Except Lean Burn

5. (Except Lean Burn) Remove the switch by first unscrewing 3 screws and disconnecting 3 wires from the switch outputs; then, after unscrewing the 2 fixing screws, remove the switch.
6. (Except Lean Burn) Remove the wire holder and harness from the integrated ignition assembly.
A) Disconnect the two connectors from the wire holder.
b) Loosen the screw and remove the wire holder.
V) Disconnect the distributor wire from the distributor housing.
6. (Lean Burn) Remove the wire holder and harness from the integrated ignition assembly.
A) Disconnect the connector from the wire holder.
b) Loosen the screw and remove the wire holder.
7. Disconnect the condenser, having released a fixing bolt.
3S-FE

1. Remove the ignition distributor cover and gasket by unscrewing 3 bolts.
2. Remove the ignition distributor rotor.
3. Remove the dust deflector of the ignition coil along with the gasket.
4. Remove the ignition coil.
A) Disconnect the three wires from the ignition coil leads by removing the 2 nuts.
b) Remove the wiring connector from the distributor cap.
V) Loosen 4 screws and remove the ignition coil.
5. Turn away the fastening screw and remove the condenser.
Distributor check
Turn the distributor shaft by turning it by hand and check for smooth, (without gaps and jamming of the rotation of the shaft. If there is evidence of wear or seizing, replace the distributor housing.
