A) Warm up the transmission fluid to operating temperature (50-80°C).
b) Unscrew the service plug of the gearbox housing and connect a pressure gauge in its place.
Attention: carry out the check with two people - one person should observe the wheels or wheel stoppers, and the second person should carry out the check.
3. Measure the line pressure when the solenoid valve is open (voltage applied).
A) To measure, perform additional operations:
- prepare an additional connector,
- connect wires, 2-3 m long, to the terminals "1" And "3" connector,
- connect a 24W lamp as shown in the figure.
b) Connect the positive battery terminal to the terminal "1", and the negative terminal to the output "3".
V) Measure the pressure at idle speed and maximum speed..
4. Analysis of test results:
A) The pressure value for all states is higher than the indicated values in the table "Line pressure (A540N since 1994) ":
- the control valve for blocking the center differential is faulty,
b) If the measured values for all states are less than the specified ones, then:
- faulty pump,
- the control valve for blocking the center differential is faulty,
V) If the measured values are lower or higher than those indicated, with the adapter connected, then:
- Faulty control valve for locking the center differential.
