- Insert the shock absorber and temporarily secure it with three upper support nuts.
- Push the wishbone upwards with the steering knuckle and connect the shock absorber strut to the steering knuckle. Insert bolts from the rear.
- Holding the heads of the two bolts shown in Figure 185, tighten the nuts with a tightening torque of 142 Nm if a 1.6 l engine is installed, and 255 Nm if a 2.0 l engine or diesel engine is installed.
- Tighten the nuts of the upper support of the shock-absorbing strut to a torque of 65 Nm.
- Install the brake caliper (see chapter "Brakes").
- Connect the brake hose and tighten the brake hose connection bolt with a tightening torque of 30 Nm.
- Place the wheel, lower the car and tighten the wheel nuts.
- Measure the alignment angles of the front wheels.
