To remove the flywheel, it must be properly blocked (insert a screwdriver into the teeth). You can also drill holes in a metal plate, secure it with clutch mounting bolts and unscrew the bolts. When tightening the flywheel, place a metal plate on the other side.

On the 1.6L engine, 6 bolts are used for installation; on the 2.0 l engine - 8 bolts. The bolts are tightened according to a specific pattern. The bolt tightening torques on both engines are also different. On the 2.0 l engine, it is also added that new and used bolts require different tightening torques. New bolts are tightened with a torque of 90 Nm, while used bolts in good condition are tightened with a torque of 93 Nm. The threads of these bolts must also be lubricated with lock paste. For all engines, the bolts are tightened to the final tightening torque in several passes. When installing the flywheel, use Figures 107 and 108.

Fig. 107. Flywheel bolt tightening diagram for a 1.6 L vehicle. Tighten the bolts to a tightening torque of 80 Nm. The tightening torques for the drive disc mounting bolts are given in the table at the end of the publication.

If the flywheel friction surface is scratched, for example due to a slipping clutch, the flywheel should be replaced.
