Removing
1. Raise and secure the vehicle on stands. Remove the gearbox.
2. Remove pressure plate and clutch disc (for engines with manual transmission).
3. Make installation marks (arrows) on the flywheel and on the crankshaft.
4. Unscrew the flywheel/drive plate bolts, block the flywheel with a screwdriver if necessary.
5. Remove flywheel/drive plate. In vehicles with automatic transmission, intermediate rings are installed on both sides of the drive disc. When assembling, the hole in the intermediate ring must align with the pin (indicated by an arrow).
Installation
1. Clean the flywheel and inspect its surface for cracks, scratches and burnt areas. Minor damage can be removed by sanding the surface. Check for missing teeth or warped flywheel.
2. Replace crankshaft rear oil seal if necessary.
3. Install the flywheel onto the crankshaft using the marks made during the removal procedure. Apply sealant to the bolt threads and insert the bolts. Tighten the bolts to the required tightening torque.
