The new Camry 2001–2005 has some design features of the body. Modern streamlined, three-dimensional shapes of the bumper, fenders and hood give the car an elegant, sporty appearance. The car is equipped with new unique headlights and a radiator grille (Fig. 1.2).

All Camry vehicles are equipped with chrome side moldings as standard. The door handles and exterior rearview mirrors also acquired new shapes, which gave them improved aerodynamic properties (Figure 1.3).

The luggage compartment opening has been widened to make loading and unloading easier. A rear spoiler with an additional brake light is also available as an optional extra for all models. The rear combination light has been reshaped to give the luggage compartment area a streamlined appearance. The twin cylinders, which include the rear side light and brake light, have been positioned vertically in the centre of the rear combination lights. (Fig. 1.4).
