a) Turn on the ignition.
b) Set the lighting control switch to the "AUTO" position.
c) Close the light access to the light sensor and make sure that the lamps light up in the order shown in the figure.

2. Checking automatic shutdown
a) After turning on the lamps, apply light to the light sensor.
b) Make sure that the headlights go out first, and then the parking lights.
3. Checking that the lamps are switched off.
a) Automatically turn on the side lights and headlights (as stated in paragraph 1).
b) Check that the pumps go out when one of the conditions is met.
1. Lighting control switch in the OFF position.
2. Apply light to the light sensor.
3. Turn off the ignition and open the driver's door.
4. Checking the lamps are switched on.
a) Automatically turn on the side lights and headlights (as stated in paragraph 1).
b) Turn off the ignition and open the driver's door. The lamps should go out.
c) Make sure that the lamps light up again when the ignition is turned on.
5. Adjusting the sensitivity of the light sensor.
a) The lighting switch-off trigger is adjusted by turning the light sensor filter.
