Removing the wiper control switch
1. Turn away screws of fastening and remove the top and lower casings of a steering column.
2. Turn away screws of fastening and remove knot of the switch of management of a screen wiper.
Checking the wiper control switch
Check the continuity between the switch terminals according to the table.
Checking the operation of the windshield wiper
1. Connect "+" voltmeter to output "+1" and a voltmeter to the output "EW.
2. Connect "+" battery to the output "+B", and to the conclusions "EW" And "+S".
3. Switch the wiper to the INT position.
4. Within 5 seconds, move "+" battery to the output "S+".
5. Connect the battery to the terminal "+S", and check the voltage change between the terminals "+1" And "EW", when the purifier works when adjusting the interval.
Checking operation in MIST mode
1. Set the windshield wiper switch to the OFF or INT position.
2. Connect the battery to the terminal "+V", and to the conclusion "EW".
3. Connect a voltmeter to the terminal "+1", A "-" voltmeter to output "EW".
4. Check that the voltage between the terminals "+1" And "EW" at the moment of switching to the MIST position, it will increase to 10-14 V.
Checking the windshield wiper motor
1. Check operation at low speed. Connect "+" battery to the output "+1", A "-" battery to the motor housing. At this point, the wiper motor should run at low speed.
2. High speed operation test. Connect "+" battery to the output "+2", and the battery to the motor housing. At this point, the wiper motor should run at high speed.
3. Checking the stop of the brushes in the extreme position (stop position).
A) Connect "+" battery to the output "+1", A "-" battery to the motor housing. The motor will run at low speed.
b) Remove from output "+1" battery wire. The motor must stop.
V) Short circuit the leads "+1" And "+S". Connect "+" battery to the output "+V", at this time, the motor should start running at low speed and then come to the stop position.
Note: the stop position is shown in the figure.
Checking the rear window wiper switch
1. Check the circuits at various switch positions according to the table.
Checking the rear window wiper relay
Colors: L - blue, Y - yellow R - red
1. Test in the OFF position.
Check that the circuit between the terminals "R" And "L" open, and the circuit between the terminals "Y" And "R" closed.
2. Check in the ON position.
Connect "+" battery to the output "+V", A "-" battery to the output "LS". Then check that the circuit between the terminals "R" And "L" closed, and between the conclusions "Y" And "R" open.
3. Checking the interval change mode (INT).
A) Set voltmeter to DC range (D.C). Connect "+" voltmeter to output "R", and the voltmeter to the output "C1".
b) Connect "+" battery to the output "+V", and the battery to the output "C1" (relay on (ON).
Voltage between terminals "R" And "C1" about 12 V.
V) From the position specified in paragraph (b), connect within 5 seconds short the leads "Y" And "L", and the relay from the position "ON" switch to position "OFF".
G) When removing the jumper from the terminals "Y" And "L", check that the voltage between the terminals "R" And "C1" is changing (0 V when jumper is removed and 12 V after 9-15 seconds).
Check of the electric motor of a cleaner of back glass
1. In position "ON".
Disconnect lead "R". Connect battery + to terminal R", A "-" battery to "earth", and check that the motor is running.
2. In the OFF position.
A) Connect "+" battery to the output "R", and the battery to "earth". The motor must be running.
b) Disconnect "+" battery off output "R". The motor must then stop.
V) Short circuit the leads "R" and 'V, connect "+" battery to the output "L". This will start the motor and stop it in the automatic stop position.
Colors: L - blue, Y - yellow, R - red.
Checking the windshield and rear washer switches
1. Check the conductivity.
windshield washer
Rear window washer
* in brackets - the position of the windshield washer switch.
2. Checking the operation of the windshield washer.
A) Set the purifier switch to the OFF position.
b) Connect "+" battery to "+V", and to the conclusions "+S" And "EW".
V) Connect "+" testeva to "+1", A "-" tester to conclusion "EW".
G) Make sure there is voltage between the terminals "+1" And "EW" with the ON or OFF position of the purifier switch.
Checking the washer motor (windshield or rear window)
Without rear wiper
1. Lower the washer motor into the water tank.
2. Connect "+" battery to the output "IN" electric motor, and to the conclusion "F" and make sure that water comes out of the fitting.
With rear wiper
1. Lower the washer motor into the water tank.
2. Connect "+" battery to the output "IN" electric motor, and to the conclusion "F" and make sure that water comes out of the fitting (in the windshield wiper).
3. Connect "+" battery to the output "IN" electric motor, and to the conclusion "R" and make sure that water comes out of the fitting (in the rear window cleaner).
