- Avoid sparks from the battery when using tools.
- Do not smoke or light matches near the battery.
The electrolyte contains poisonous and corrosive sulfuric acid.
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing.
- Do not swallow electrolyte.
- Wear protective goggles when working near the battery.
- Keep the battery out of the reach of children.
- If electrolyte gets into your eyes, immediately rinse your eyes with clean water and seek immediate medical attention. On the way to the medical facility, continue to apply a sponge or cloth dampened with water, if possible.
- If electrolyte comes into contact with skin, wash the area thoroughly. If you feel pain or burning, seek medical attention immediately.
- If it comes into contact with clothing, the electrolyte may seep through clothing onto the skin, so immediately remove these clothing and follow the above procedure if necessary.
- If you accidentally swallow electrolyte, drink plenty of water or milk. Then drink magnesium hydroxide, a beaten raw egg, or vegetable oil. Then seek emergency care immediately.
