To open the trunk lid from the driver's seat, pull up on the release lever (pic. 1.41).
Luggage security system prevents unauthorized access (with auxiliary key) into the trunk by folding the rear seat or using the release lever.
To protect things left in the trunk from criminal encroachments, follow the instructions below.

1. Open the trunk lid and pull down on the safety lock levers to lock the rear seatbacks (pic. 1.42).
After that, try to put them together to make sure they are really locked. Otherwise, strangers can get into the trunk by folding the rear seats.

2. Close the trunk lid. Insert the master key and turn it counterclockwise to disengage the trunk lid release lever (see fig. 1.29).
After that, pull the release lever up to make sure it is locked.
