To open the trunk lid from the driver's seat, pull the release lever up (Fig. 1.41).
Baggage security system helps prevent unauthorized access (using the auxiliary key) into the trunk by folding down the rear seat or using the release lever.
To protect items left in the trunk from criminal attacks, follow these instructions.

1. Open the trunk lid and pull down the safety locking levers, this will lock the rear seat backs (Fig. 1.42).
After that, try folding them to make sure they are really locked. Otherwise, strangers can get into the trunk by folding the rear seats.

2. Close the trunk lid. Insert the main key and turn it counterclockwise to release the trunk lid release lever (see fig. 1.29).
After this, pull the release lever up to make sure it is locked.
