1. Pull the hood release lever. The hood should open slightly with a springy upward movement;
2. At the front of the vehicle, pull up on the auxiliary lever with the latch and lift the hood.

Before closing the engine hood, make sure that you have not forgotten any tools, rags, etc. inside. Then lower the hood and make sure that it is firmly in place. If necessary, gently press on the front edge to fix the hood (Fig. 1.40).
Warning! Before driving, make sure the hood is closed and securely locked. Otherwise, the hood may open unexpectedly while driving and cause an accident.
