Fig. 1.43. Fuel tank filler flap side indicator
The triangle located on the left, next to the fuel level indicator in the tank, indicates that the fuel filler door is on the left side of your vehicle (Fig. 1.43).
Fig. 1.44. Location of the fuel tank filler flap opening lever
To open the fuel filler door, pull the lever up (Fig. 1.44). When filling the tank with fuel, turn off the engine.
Warning! When opening the cap, do not remove it quickly. In hot weather, pressurized fuel may cause injury by squirting out of the filler opening if the cap is removed abruptly.
To remove the fuel tank cap, turn the cap counterclockwise 90 degrees (to compression point 1), and then rotate it an additional 30 degrees (to point 2). Take a short pause before removing it.
When you open the lid, you may hear a characteristic hissing sound.
The removed cap can be stored on the back of the fuel filler door.

Position the cover so that the hooks are on the left and right and insert it into the slot on the inside of the door (Fig. 1.45).
When replacing the lid, turn it clockwise until you hear a click. The click means the lid is completely closed.
