Fig. 1.39. Operations for sliding the sunroof and raising the sun visor: A - sliding the hatch; B - Raising the sun visor

To control the electric sunroof, use the switches located next to the personal lighting (Fig. 1.39).

The electric sunroof operates when the ignition switch is in the "ON" position.

The sun visor can be opened or closed manually.

Operation with the key removed: If both front doors are closed, the power sunroof will operate for approximately 43 seconds, even after the ignition switch is turned off. It will be turned off when any door is opened.

Shift operation

To open: Press and hold the switch for 1 sec from the side "SLIDE OPEN".

The sunroof will open fully automatically. To stop the sunroof, briefly press the switch on the side "SLIDE OPEN" or "TILT UP".

The sun visor will open along with the electric sunroof.

To close: Press and hold the switch for 1 sec on the "TILT UP" side.

The sunroof will close completely automatically. To stop the sunroof, briefly press the switch on the side "SLIDE OPEN" or "TILT UP".

Folding operation

To tilt up: press and hold the switch for 1 sec on the "TILT UP" side.

The original can be found on this resource toyotaman.ru

The sunroof will be fully tilted upwards automatically. To stop the sunroof while driving, quickly press the switch on the side "SLIDE OPEN" or "TILT UP".

Anti-pinch function

If an obstacle appears between the hatch and the frame when lowering the hatch, or when closing it after the ignition switch is turned off, the hatch will stop.

Note: If the sunroof is hit hard, this feature may operate even if nothing is pinched.

If the battery is disconnected or discharged, the sunroof may not operate automatically and the anti-pinch function will not work properly after you reconnect, replace or recharge the battery. In either case, you should return the sunroof to its normal position.

To return the sunroof to its normal position, press and hold the sunroof switch on the "TILT UP" side until the sunroof is fully tilted up, then automatically lowers slightly.

Warning: To avoid serious injury, follow these guidelines.
  • - When the vehicle is moving, always ensure that all passengers keep their heads, hands and other body parts away from the sunroof opening. Otherwise, they may be seriously injured if the vehicle suddenly stops or gets into an accident.
  • - Before closing the sunroof, always make sure that no one is in dangerous proximity to the sunroof. Make sure that no one places their head, hands, or other body parts in the sunroof opening. If someone's neck, head, or hands are caught in the closing sunroof, this could result in serious injury. When someone closes the sunroof, first of all, make sure that it is safe.
