General information
Models 1994 and 1995 equipped with driver's airbags (with mechanical activation). In the event of a collision, if the system's sensor detects a longitudinal impact greater than a certain value, the steering wheel airbag is deployed immediately.
Driver airbag
1 - airbag sensor release bolt,

Removing the steering wheel pad
1. Use a screwdriver to remove bottom covers #2 and #3.
2. Using a socket wrench, loosen the fuse bolt until it turns freely, and remove the trim bolt cover.
3. Turn away two bolts of fastening and remove an overlay, having pulled it on itself.

Checking the steering wheel pad
Replace the pad with a new one if:
A) The airbag deployed.
b) The pad surface, sensor or igniter is damaged or deformed.
V) The airbag is damaged or not secured to the handlebar pad.
Steering wheel check
1. Check the condition of the steering wheel. Replace it with a new one if:
A) The metal bracket of the steering wheel is deformed.
b) A new overlay cannot be installed without significant effort.
Installing the steering wheel pad
1. Check that the fuse bolt is loose and turns without resistance.
2. Establish an overlay on a steering wheel and wrap adjusting bolts.
- Tightening torque - 9 Nm
3. Close the fuse bracket, tighten the bolt.
- Tightening torque - 9 Nm
4. Install the two bottom covers.
