Note: Air-conditioned models are equipped with two electric fans (one is the electric fan of the radiator of the cooling system, the second is used to cool the air conditioner condenser).
Vehicle check
1. Check the operation of the electric fan of the cooling system at an engine operating temperature of no more than 83°C.
A) Turn on the ignition.
b) Check that the cooling fan has stopped. If not, check the cooling fan relay and coolant temperature switch, and check the connector and wire between them.
V) Disconnect the coolant temperature switch connector.
G) Check that the cooling fan is spinning.
If not, check the fuses, main engine relay and cooling fan relay, cooling fan, fuses and check for a short circuit between the cooling fan relay and the sensor switch.
d) Connect the coolant temperature switch connector.
2. Check the operation of the cooling system fan when the engine temperature is more than 93°C.
A) Start the engine and warm it up until the coolant temperature is above 93°C.
b) Check that the cooling fan is spinning.
If not, replace the coolant temperature switch.
