Note: models with air conditioning are equipped with two electric fans (one is an electric fan for the cooling system radiator, the second is used to cool the air conditioning condenser).
Check on the car
1. Check the operation of the electric fan of the cooling system when the engine operating temperature is no more than 83°C.
a) Turn on the ignition.
b) Check that the electric cooling fan has stopped. If not, check the electric cooling fan relay and the coolant temperature sensor switch, and check the connector and wire between them.
c) Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor switch connector.
d) Check that the cooling system fan is rotating.
If not, check the fuses, motor main relay, cooling system fan relay, cooling system fan, fuses, and check that there is no short circuit between the cooling system fan relay and the sensor switch.
d) Connect the coolant temperature sensor switch connector.
2. Check the operation of the cooling fan when the engine operating temperature is more than 93°C.
a) Start the engine and warm it up until the coolant temperature is above 93°C.
b) Check that the cooling system fan is rotating.
If not, replace the coolant temperature switch sensor.
