Removal



1. Raise the front of the vehicle and secure it on stands. Remove the relevant front wheel.



2. Disconnect the brake hose from the bracket on the front strut.

3. If the vehicle is equipped with an anti-lock braking system, disconnect the electrical connector from the speed sensor.



4. Mark the position of the strut on the steering knuckle. Remove the two bolts securing the steering knuckle to the bottom of the front strut. Remove the top of the steering knuckle from the strut and place the steering knuckle on a stand.



5. While holding the strut from falling, unscrew the three nuts of the upper front strut mount, lower the strut and remove it from under the front fender.



Installation



1. Place the strut in place and tighten the three front strut upper mounting nuts.

2. Insert the top of the steering knuckle into the front strut and secure with bolts.

3. Secure the brake hose clamp to the front strut. Connect the speed sensor electrical connector.

4. Install the wheel and lower the vehicle.

5. Tighten the three front strut upper mounting nuts to the specified torque.
