1. Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands. Remove the front wheel.
2. Remove the bolts securing the ball joint to the front suspension lower arm and, using a pry bar, separate the lower arm from the ball joint.
3. Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the nut securing the ball joint to the steering knuckle a few turns.
4. Using a puller, press the ball joint pin out of the steering knuckle.
5. Remove the nut from the ball joint pin and remove the ball joint from the steering knuckle.
6. Install the trunnion of the new ball joint into the steering knuckle and secure with a nut, tightening it to the required torque. Secure the nut against loosening with a new cotter pin.
7. Install the ball joint to the front suspension lower arm and secure with bolts.
8. Install the wheel and lower the car.
