2. Unscrew the bolts securing the ball joint to the lower arm of the front suspension and, using a pry bar, separate the lower arm from the ball joint.
3. Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the nut securing the ball joint to the steering knuckle a few turns.

4. Using a puller, press the ball joint pin out of the steering knuckle.
5. Unscrew the nut from the ball joint journal and remove the ball joint from the steering knuckle.
6. Install the new ball joint pin into the steering knuckle and secure it with the nut, tightening it to the required torque. Secure the nut from unscrewing with a new cotter pin.
7. Install the ball joint onto the lower arm of the front suspension and secure with bolts.
8. Install the wheel and lower the vehicle.
