Location of fuse boxes in the car

Location of the fuse box in the passenger compartment

The main fuse box is located on the left side of the instrument panel.

Location of the fuse box and relay in the engine compartment

Visual inspection of fuse integrity

The car's electrical circuits are protected by fuses and current relays. The fuse boxes are located in the car's interior and engine compartment (see fig. Location of fuse boxes on the car, fig. Location of fuse box in the passenger compartment, fig. Location of fuse and relay box in the engine compartment).

To remove a fuse, use tweezers to pull the fuse out of the socket. Pull the fuse out of the tweezers. The wire inside the fuse is easily visible and will be severed if the fuse is blown (see fig. Visual check of fuse integrity).

Always replace a fuse with another fuse of the same rating. Never replace a fuse more than once without determining the cause of its blown fuse.
