Checking the liquid level lines

Liquid level (electrolyte) should be between the top and bottom lines.
When checking the fluid level, check all six cells, not just one or two.
If the level is below the bottom line, add distilled water.
Testing with a hydrometer
Check the condition of the battery by the color of the hydrometer.

Adding distilled water

Remove the ventilation plugs.
Add distilled water to the cells that need fluid. If the battery side is closed, check the fluid level by looking straight down into the cell.
Retighten the vent plugs securely.
