Pic. 1.158. Location of special eyelets for towing a car
When towing a vehicle with an automatic transmission, use only the front towing eye (pic. 1.158).
Warning! Be extremely careful when towing a vehicle. Avoid abrupt starts and erratic maneuvers that could put excessive stress on the emergency towing eyes, towline or chain. The eyelets and towline or chain can break and cause serious injury or damage.
Attention! Use only a rope or chain specifically designed for towing vehicles. The cable or chain must be securely attached to the towing eyelets provided.
Before towing, release the parking brake and place the transmission in neutral (Manual Transmission) or in position «N» (Automatic transmission). The key must be in position «ACC» (engine off) or «ON» (engine running).
