Security measures
1. When working with refrigerant, always follow the safety regulations.
A) Do not work with refrigerant indoors or near open flames.
b) Always wear safety goggles.
V) Be careful not to get refrigerant in your eyes or on your skin. On defeat:
- Do not rub the burned area.
- Rinse the burned area with plenty of cold water and lubricate the skin with clean petroleum jelly.
- Do not try to treat yourself, contact a medical facility immediately.
G) Before removing or checking electrical parts, turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" and disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Refrigerant Charging Precautions
1. Do not run the compressor without enough refrigerant. Lack of refrigerant leads to insufficient lubrication of the compressor, which can lead to compressor failure.
2. Do not open the high pressure valve on the gauge block while the compressor is running. If the high pressure valve is open, the direction of refrigerant flow will change, resulting in cylinder failure.
3. Do not overcharge the system. Excess coolant leads to insufficient cooling, excessive fuel consumption, engine overheating, etc.
Application of R134a refrigerant
The air conditioning system uses HFC-134a refrigerant (R134a). Compressor oil and seals designed for use with R12 refrigerant cause damage to the system, pay attention to compatibility when repairing.
