Electric sunroof drive.
1 - electric sunroof drive,
2 - hatch control switch,
3 - right cable,
4 - left cable,
5 - hatch control relay,
6, 7 - limit switches.
Checking the main power relay
1. Check for constant conductivity between terminals "1" and "2" of the relay.

2. Check for conductivity between terminals "3" and "5" of the relay when applying battery voltage between terminals "1" and "2".

Checking the operation of the electric motor

1. Connect the "+" of the battery to terminal "3", to terminal "1" of the connector, check the rotation of the electric motor armature.
2. Change the polarity of the battery connection, the direction of rotation should change to the opposite.
Checking the grounding of the electric motor
Check the conductivity between the sunroof drive motor housing and terminal "2" (central) connector.
Checking the thermal fuse
1. Connect the "+" of the battery to terminal "1", to terminal "3", including an ammeter in the circuit.
2. Check that 10-60 seconds after the hatch is fully opened, the current drops from 16 - 23 A to 0 (the thermal fuse will trip).
3. Change the polarity of the voltage, check that the hatch starts to close after about 60 seconds.
Checking limit switches
Check the conductivity between the connector terminals:
