Some modifications are equipped with a remote door lock control system. Doors are unlocked and locked by pressing a button on the key. The distance to the car should not exceed 1 m.

Examination

1. Checking the operation of the lock.

a) Check that the remote lock only works when the main switch is in the "ON" position.

b) When the switch on the key is pressed, the door locks are activated, with the exception of points 3, 4, 6a.

c) If at least one door is unlocked, then pressing the key switch locks all doors. If all doors are locked, pressing unlocks all doors.

2. Check the automatic locking mechanism. Check that if no door is opened within 30 seconds after unlocking the doors, all doors lock automatically.

3. Check that when the key is inserted into the clamp lock, pressing the key switch does not activate the remote lock.

4. Check that when you press the switch on the key, the lock operates only once, and can only operate again 0.5 seconds after releasing the button.

5. Checking the repeat mechanism

a) If there is a mechanical obstruction to the latch movement when the lock switch button is pressed, 10 attempts will be made to lock the doors.

b) If during the operation of the automatic locking mechanism there is a mechanical obstacle to the movement of the latch, then 10 attempts to lock the doors will be made within 2 seconds

6. Check that if at least one door is slightly open, the door locks do not work.

7. Each set of transmitters (keys) and receiver has its own identification code. If more than 10 incorrect codes are received by the receiver within 10 minutes, the remote lock system is blocked. To unlock the system, you must insert the key into the door lock or ignition switch.

Receiver and transmitter

1. Replacing the transmitter battery.

Note: A healthy battery has a voltage of at least 2.1 V when a 1.2 kOhm load is applied.

a) Loosen the screw, slide and remove the key cover.

b) Install the new battery and O-ring.

2. Checking the transmitter.

a) Remove the battery from the key.

b) Apply 3V voltage (for example, two known good batteries) to the key contacts ("+" to the side contact, to the bottom).

c) Check that the remote lock operates at a distance of 1 m from the driver's door handle.

Note: Do not touch the key plate, this will reduce the transmitter range.

Checking the remote lock receiver

3. Checking the receiver

Check the receiver circuit according to the table "Checking the remote lock receiver".
