Driving at low speeds
Driving at high speeds
When maneuvering in confined spaces (especially in reverse), to avoid damage, it is recommended to turn off the "4WS" system and drive in "2WS" mode. To do this:
- stop the car;
- engage reverse gear of manual transmission or selector lever of automatic transmission to position "R";
- press the "REVS 2WS" switch.
(See the source on the internet resource: TOYOTAMAN.ru)
Note: Pressing the "REVS 2WS" switch again will switch the system to "4WS" operation mode.

When the ignition is turned on (when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position), the "4WS" indicator lights up for a few seconds. If the indicator does not light up when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position, or if the indicator lights up continuously while driving, then the "4WS" system may be faulty. In this case, the system automatically switches to "2WS" mode and informs about this with the "2WS" indicator.
