2. Before removing the traction relay from the starter, apply alignment marks to the starter housing and traction relay.
3. Disconnect the starter motor power wire from the traction relay.
4. Unscrew the two screws securing the traction relay to the gearbox cover.
5. Remove the tie bolts that secure the starter to the gearbox cover.

6. Remove the starter motor from the traction relay and the gearbox cover with the gear block.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
