Warning! If your radio has an anti-theft code, check that you have the connection codes before disconnecting the battery.


Caution! On models from 1993 onwards, the air bag system is disabled if the battery is disconnected for an extended period of time. If the air bag warning light comes on and remains on after the battery is reconnected, contact a specialist workshop to have the system restored to working order.

1. Remove the ground cable from the battery.

2. Disconnect the electrical wires from the generator.



3. Loosen the adjusting and pivot bolts of the generator and remove the drive belt.

4. Unscrew the two generator bracket mounting bolts and remove the generator together with the bracket.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

6. After installing the generator, adjust the drive belt tension.
