Scheme of operation of the exhaust gas re-burning system

To reduce the emission of nitrogen oxide into the atmosphere along with the exhaust gases, part of the exhaust gases enters the intake manifold through the EGR valve and is re-burned.

The exhaust gas recirculation system consists of the EGR valve, EGR modulator, vacuum changeover valve (VSV), electronic control unit (ECM) and EGR temperature sensor.
