Attention! Work should be performed by two people.
Removal
1. Open the trunk lid and cover the adjacent body panels.
2. Remove the inner trim of the lid and disconnect the connectors of the trunk lighting and rear lights wiring from the lid and pull out the lock drive cable (see subsection 11.14.). First, attach a piece of wire of sufficient length to the cable.
3. Outline the contours of the lid hinges.
4. Loosen the bolts securing the cover to the hinges and remove the cover.
Installation
Installation is performed in reverse order. When installing, align the hinges with the contours applied during removal.
Adjustment
1. The horizontal position of the trunk lid is adjusted by moving the lid in the holes for the hinge mounting bolts after loosening them.
2. Lid height position (and alignment of the cover with the surface of adjacent body panels) is adjusted by moving the lid lock retainer with the bolts (arrows) released. Preliminarily outline the retainer contours.
