
2. To access the fuel filler door cable, remove the trunk mat and the left side trim. Turn the cable end counterclockwise 1/4 turn and remove it from the bracket (camry model).

3. On Avalon models, remove the cable end from the bracket and disengage it from the fuel filler door locking mechanism.
4. Remove the lower part of the rear seat (see subsection 11.27.). On two-door models (coupe), you need to remove the back and the lower part of the seat.
5. Pry up and remove the driver's door sill trim. On 4-door models, remove the lower center side pillar trim.
6. Lift the floor mat and remove all the fastening clips that secure the cable to the body.

7. Loosen the two screws securing the cable handle to the floor.

8. Lift the body and disconnect the cable sheaths from the brackets and eyes on the levers.
9. Attach a piece of wire of sufficient length to the cable.
10. Pull the cable from the trunk side until the wire exits.
11. Attach a new cable to the wire and pull the new cable to the lever by the wire.
