2. To access the fuel filler cable, remove the trunk mat and the left side trim. Turn the end of the cable counterclockwise 1/4 turn and remove from the bracket (Camry model).
3. On Avalon models, remove cable end from bracket and disengage from tank door locking mechanism.
4. Remove the bottom of the rear seat (see subsection 11.27.). On two door models (coupe) You need to remove the backrest and lower part of the seat.
5. Pry off and remove the driver's door sill trim. On 4-door models, remove the B-pillar lower trim.
6. Raise the floor mat and remove any cable-to-body clips.
7. Loosen the two screws securing the cable handle to the floor.
8. Lift the body and disconnect the cable sheaths from the brackets and eyelets on the levers.
9. Attach a piece of wire of sufficient length to the cable.
10. Pull the cable from the side of the trunk until the wire exits.
11. Attach a new cable to the wire and pull the new cable to the lever by the wire.
12. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order.
