Removal
1. Raise the front of the car and place it on stands. Remove the front wheels.

2. While holding the rod, loosen the lock nut so that the position of the tip can be marked on the threaded portion of the rod.

3. Unscrew the nut and mark the position of the end of the tip so that the new tip can be screwed in to this mark.
4. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the steering rod nut.

5. Press out the tip hinge, unscrew the nut and remove the tip.
6. Unscrew the tip from the steering rod.
Installation
1. Screw the tie rod end onto the mark. Insert the tie rod end joint into the eye on the steering knuckle and tighten the lock nut.
2. Tighten the castle nut and secure with the cotter pin.
3. Install the wheel and lower the vehicle.
4. Check and adjust wheel alignment if necessary.
