It is necessary to remove air from the hydraulic drive of the steering wheel during any disassembly of the line, regardless of the measures against air ingress that have been taken.
1. Set the wheels to straight ahead and check the fluid level, top up if necessary by topping up to the Cold mark on the dipstick.
2. Start the engine and after running the engine at fast idle, check the fluid level again, if necessary, restore, topping up to the Cold mark on the reservoir dipstick.
3. Turn the steering wheel from side to side until it stops, while not allowing a strong collision with the stops, hold the steering wheel at the end of each turn. At the same time, air is removed from the hydraulic booster circuit. Keep an eye on the fluid level while performing this procedure.
4. Set the wheels to straight ahead and stop the engine after a few minutes.
5. Again check the fluid level, which should be near the Hot mark on the reservoir dipstick when the engine is warm. Top up if necessary.
